I enjoy talking to people, but I no longer check email (exception: I occasionally randomly sample 3-5 emails to read and respond to them, maybe once every two weeks). If you must use email, please send

• mathematics / academic related email to yan.x.zhang (snail thing) sjsu.edu, and
• personal email to yanzhang (snail thing) post.harvard.edu

• The only social media I check regularly is Discord, which I only share with my students and friends. Please talk to someone who knows me to get my Discord contact.
• I used to check Twitter DMs (@krzhang), but now I feel fairly disengaged with Twitter/X so don’t expect me to check it. (I also used to do most of my writing there, but my recent writing is more private).
• Otherwise I am mostly absent / defunct on social media (Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.).

In general, I prefer face-to-face meetings. I’m based around San Francisco.
